Synthetic leather is applied in a wide range of products, including footwear, apparel and auto accessories and furniture accessories industries. Different from conventional synthetic leather, water-based process eliminates organic solvent in producing consumer products, this approach avoids the toxic dimethylformamide (DMF) which is essential for making polyurethane synthetic leather, uses less energy, water and reduces multiple drying steps in the traditional process. It is energy saving and eliminates harmful solvent to the environment.
